Admin and Finance Manager

Australia, Victoria, MelbourneOperations

Job description

Job Title: Admin and Finance Manager

About DiviGas:

Billions worth of hydrogen gas is lost every year at petrochemical plants due to flaring and equipment failure. DiviGas is a small, new and rapidly growing technology supplier in the Clean Technology sector. We have invented a proprietary polymer membrane, a nano-molecular filter, that captures hydrogen from a wide range of gas mixtures and allows this otherwise wasted gas to be recovered at low cost. Our technology has the potential to save $ billions through improving the efficiency of petrochemical plants, refineries, and emerging hydrogen production technologies, in turn avoiding millions of tons of CO2.

Summary:

Following our successful Seed Round in August 2021, DiviGas is setting up its first manufacturing site in Melbourne, Australia and are looking for someone to join our small team as the Admin and Finance manager. In this position, you will support the executive team by taking care of a variety of business administration tasks, including scheduling, data entry, payroll, bookkeeping, reporting, copywriting, and HR. Working closely with members of the leadership team, you will also have the opportunity to establish work practices, contribute to company policies, and support the onboarding of new staff as our team grows from 5 to more than 15 over the next 12 months.

As a rapidly growing start-up, we are looking for a person that is self-motivated, organised, and able to work in ambiguous and changeable situations. A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other areas will be advantageous, but is not a requirement for this role. Prior experience in a start-up or fast-paced work environment will be helpful, however we are equally excited to welcome a committed newcomer.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Great communication skills via phone, email, and messaging apps.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to summarise information for management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software and email, as well as the readiness to learn a variety of online apps such as Xero, Trello, Miro, Wrike, and HubSpot.

  • Comfortable with numbers and understanding of accounting / bookkeeping

  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, problem solve, and ask questions when needing further clarification

At DiviGas, we believe every employee should have the opportunity to grow alongside the company. No one is good at everything, and you aren’t either, but that’s okay. The well-being and personal growth of our team is what drives us forward, so to help you perform at your best, DiviGas offers flexible working arrangements and access to unlimited paid leave.
